I’m wont to watch the Northern Lights
The sky shivering and dancing in the night
Like some ephemeral silken curtain
First a green so bold and certain
Filled with temperamental color
Then a purple beyond any other
Drifting, shifting, floating in the sky
A brilliant red as though the night must bleed and die
Fading back and forth and back anon
In the crisp winter night as I look on
The sky, it dances in the cold
And thus warms our poor and humbled souls
