Young flowers bloom brightly in the warming spring
As snow drifts slowly melt away
Colorful omens of what summer will bring
As longer grows each passing day
Joyful, the resurrection of life abounding
Peaceful, the quiet of winter fades
Hopeful, in their nests, young birds are sounding
Fruitful, as fawns play in forest glades
Summer is coming, a season of life
A season of growth and bountiful harvest
A season in which all activity’s rife
With fervor accrued during winter’s long rest
