The silent soothing sounds of sleep
Which lull the senses into the deep
I strongly desire to drift and fade away
And sleep in silence for the remaining day
Maybe once my work is done
Then I may settle down before the sun
But as it is, I must stay awake to do
The many things that need my attending to
