We sit and watch the stormy sky
Lightning signals the day’s goodbye
As rain pounds down upon the ground
While the world still turns us around
But you are here with me this eve
And in your eyes I find reprieve
Solace in your smile, peace of heart
Though thunder tears the sky apart
We sit together, your head on my chest
Your hands in mine, we watch the tempest
With you here my heart is finally at rest
For with you I know that I’m truly blessed
