Lost in my own world of silence
Echoing footfalls muffled by snow
Moving from island to island
Yet still having nowhere to go
Every try brings a new failure
And each change brings its own fear
I can’t see the future as brighter
When I can’t see to the end of the year
Sometimes I wonder if it’s different
If others see the world the same way
If I push on will the silence relent
And brighten this world so grey?
