Pretty little finches, what do you see?
A brief romance before summer flees?
I see you twitting and sitting and enjoying the day
Eating seeds from the flowers as you go on your way
She in the garden, he at my sill
They talk and converse and never sit still
She in her bronze and him in his gold
Flitting and flying, boisterous and bold
Pretty little finches, you are what I see
Reminding my heart of the earth's majesty
