I traveled across the badlands
Those wide and windy plains
I learned the ways of forty hands
Amidst the desolate remains
The burning sands scoured my face
The beating sun baked my back
Lizards across the desert raced
While I across the wasteland tracked
The days were long and burning hot
The nights were frigidly cold
The trail I followed was often lost
While I saw never another soul
Til at last the other side I found
Lands of paradise and peace
Where milk and honey did abound
And I finally found some sleep
