The night is filled with anticipation,
The full moon hangs up in the sky
Awaiting the joy, tomorrow’s elation
The answer to the question, “Why?”
To live, to love, to be in relation
To share in God’s joy with one another
To live in a unity of creation
Each loving, in Him, the other
With full hearts we are nearing,
Through busy lives and cluttered days,
A beautiful gift of love’s unfearing
And tremulously gentle ways
We pray for those who will approach
That altar of God’s, in Matrimony
That nothing ill may e’er encroach
Upon love’s sweet song of euphony
