To write without any inspiration
Is a challenging thing for one to do
And to most writers’ great consternation
This situation occurs often, too
So what is the scrivener’s means of recourse?
How can, this obstacle, he circumvent?
Maybe by seeking a novel source
He can be about that which won’t relent
Ah, but where to find such inspiration
What new muse could stand up to such a task?
Open to new wondrous observation
In whose surfeit of emotion one might bask?
Tis the test, the trial of writing
To break the block and forge ahead
And with words most unrequiting
Leave the obstacles behind, in thy stead.
