Called to War

A missive in the mail, the baron calls us now
His cachet seals the order plying at our vow
We will serve him in duty, fighting honor bound
We will not leave this field till their blood stains the ground
Our armor light, our offense strong, our will is steeled
The holes in their tactics will quickly be revealed
We shall fight not for the baron, but for duty
We shall die not in our sorrow, but in beauty
Purpose gives us meaning, a man’s true to his word
Sun sets on a bloody field, where not a voice is heard
