He plainly said there’s blood in the water
Although the river’s run dry in its bed.
Every girl is somebody’s daughter;
All of the living will someday be dead.
So dear little girl, don’t you cry for me
As they march me onward to meet my fate.
There’s much in this world which you’ve yet to see
And my hour has already grown late.
They called me a man outside of the law,
A menace to all those who were near me.
But they haven’t seen the abuses I saw
Or the holes in their ‘system’ so clearly.
That innocent girl, attacked by a monster,
Guarded by wealth and power and fame.
The system couldn’t stop its own creation
And it knew only of justice in name.
The eighth circle of hell is where he belonged
And there he now shall forever reside.
To protect the lambs who souls he had wronged,
A worthy cause for which this soul shall die
He plainly said there’s blood in the water
Although the river’s run dry in its bed.
Every girl is somebody’s daughter;
All of the living will someday be dead.
