The sun is setting as the air grows chill
Cold fingers grasping at my exposed throat
No hoping, no wishing, no force of will
Can save me from the fate I have invoked
The burnished daystar sinks ever slowly
But no escape from out this cell remains
As the unseen walls of this unholy
Prison bind my soul fore’er here detained
My lack of surety stifles my outcry
Have I not done this to myself, alone?
Do I truly wish, in this jail, to die?
Will this for all my grievous sins atone?
I do not, want not, wish not for this hell!
Oh someone save me, free me, from my cell!
