Driving through misty night
Hoping to see the dawn
The horizon pale with morning light
As I’m driving on
The evening’s been long,
Driving all the way through
Listening to the song
That reminds me of you
Though it’s a thousand miles
That between us now lies
I can still see your smiles
Each time I close my eyes
The morning sun shines bright
As I travel away
Missing your lovely sight
For yet another day
I do not know what will
Become of we two souls
But I know now that naught
Will fill the heart sized holes
Lying within my chest
After days spent with you
As I travel depressed
Now that we’re sadly through
