Little bird upon my window sill,
What do you want, what is your will?
As you twitter and flit your wings
And sing about what summer brings
The trees so green, the flowers bright
Do you sing so loud to see these sights?
After winter, O so dead and bare
Now in the meadow, plenty’s there
Bugs for you to gobble down
Worms to pull from of their holes
As you gaily sing and fly around
Bringing delight to saddened souls
Little bird twitt’ring at my window still
Enjoy your day, I know I will
