Easter's Hope

What an ending to a blessed season
What started with pain, friendship turned treason
Now ends with great joy, our Lord victorious
As we celebrate this season most glorious
Now we proclaim hope, hope both real and true
Not the façade which obscures a man’s view
We proclaim the hope in a life everlasting
Worth every prayer and minute of fasting
We proclaim hope in the good of all men
The joy of life found in all our children
We proclaim the hope for a world of peace
Where neighbors learn love and violence will cease
We proclaim hope against a world which screams
And cries out with lies, and tears at our dreams
But our hope is stronger, He won’t let it fail
Against such hope, even Hell can’t prevail
Thus it is that we walk into the night
Bringing Easter’s hope, a beacon of light
