Physics once said that bumblebees can’t fly
Someone forgot to tell the bumblebees
So when they tell you you’ll fail before you try
Ask them to give you a chance, if they please
Why protons stay together in atoms’ nuclei
Why the universe is more massive than appears to the eye
Hypotheses abound in an attempt to supply
Answers to these mysteries of why
How curious it is that we know that we don’t
But still try to deny others can when we won’t
We must strive for the truth, in all of its fashions
Even when our support fails and dwindle our passions
To resign our life’s work before it’s begun,
We may as well turn out the light, put out the sun
There’s a place for temperance, a reason to be sane
But one should follow the heart, and guide with the brain
