As the sun dances upon its horizon
The moon passes its zenith in the sky
Beneath, in settling stillness life goes on
But the night is coming nigh
The waxing tells of cold winter night
Yet in its chill it reflects the sun’s warm light
The crisp and still world beneath
Beneficiary of the glow it doth bequeath
Shivers and shifts but lays still at last
The night in peace will slowly pass
This night, we celebrate something great
The Lord, our God, has become incarnate
In His grace, born to us, a babe
His majesty wrapped in simple flesh
Our souls, our hearts, He came to save
And our faith in Him, He would refresh
He would demand of us naught but love
And faith in our souls to Him who is above
For to love truly is to live in Him
To express that love truly is to live without sin
To follow him, we must have faith of a child
Faith based on love in all times and all trials
He came to make this known to us at His birth
Without Him we are empty, in Him we find worth
And so we celebrate Christmas with love and joy
Remembering our Savior’s coming as a baby boy.

my favorite part is: "For to love truly is to live in Him/ To express that love truly is to live without sin." Amen!
