XVII: No Man is an Island

Gracefully gliding, passing me by
Silent I watch, internally I fly
Will wishes be truth? Doubtfully so
And lonely pain shall only grow
Why is the question, unanswered remaining
Yet ever a question of necessity retaining
Can we ever be completely full on our own?
Independent may our spirit be truly grown?
Many may try, and many shall fall
For in only themselves they find a lacking of call
Each single man depends on the other
To love, to teach, to call him a brother
Not an island, no one is only their own
Humans lose humanity if they are forever alone.
