For my faith I will not apologize
For the Truth in which I believe
Though I may be a bigot in your eyes
From my belief I take no reprieve
You may criticize the love which I express
And attack my care for others
But for your sake I will not repress
Good will towards my sisters and brothers
You profess that I hate irrationally
Yet attack me without logic or reason
I see you hate compassionately
But won’t give my arguments time or season
So while respect to me you preach
I ask only one thing for you to do
Give me some of what you teach
As I have been giving it to you
